When ER Industries’ holding office reached out, they were not looking for another archive. They needed one place where the Verwaltungsrat could trust the same materials for group-level decisions, participations, financing, controlling, and strategic leadership, without reconstructing the pack from every subsidiary’s email chain.
A family holding that steers many moving parts
ER Industries AG is a Luzern Aktiengesellschaft. It exists to acquire, hold, manage, and finance participations, plus the classic holding functions: central management, controlling, financing, and strategic leadership. The purpose also covers intellectual property and real estate. In practice that means a family board overseeing several participations with a long horizon, not a single operating P&L.
The challenge
Before each holding meeting, materials arrived as a collage: investment updates from one entity, financing notes from another, IP and brand items, property topics, and group strategy slides, often refreshed late and mailed again. Versions multiplied. Directors asked which pack was final for the holding versus which file belonged to an operating company. Follow-ups after adjournment, who owns the next financing step, which participation review is locked, lived in side notes and vanished until the next cycle. For a holding whose job is clarity across entities, the board process felt anything but clear.
What changed
ER Industries moved holding-level materials into one current pack in Konsaro. Every Verwaltungsrat member opened the same link. Updates from the participations landed without a resend storm. Agenda owners were visible before the meeting; decisions and follow-ups stayed on the record after. Portfolio questions, capital allocation, strategic direction for a participation, IP and financing items, finally shared one spine of preparation, debate, and follow-through.
Governance that matches the holding purpose
The holding pack is no longer rebuilt from every entity drive: it is prepared once and updated in place. That leaves more of the meeting for substance, which bets to fund, how to steer the participations, what stays confidential at holding level, and less for “which version are we looking at?” After adjournment, owners of next steps are on the record, so operating companies can act without waiting for a clarifying forward from the last email chain.
One spine for strategic leadership
For a family holding whose purpose is strategic leadership across participations, Konsaro made governance work the same way the structure intends: central clarity, fewer moving parts, and a board cadence that steers the portfolio without drowning directors in entity-by-entity PDF folders.
