When ER Enterprises AG, known as ERE, reached out, they were not looking for a tool for a single board. They needed one meeting system that could run an entire multi-company enterprise: Verwaltungsrat, holding committees, entity boards, shared-services leadership, and operating companies, without every level inventing its own PDF ritual.
An enterprise of companies, not one P&L
ERE is ER Enterprises AG, a Luzern Aktiengesellschaft. Its purpose is the permanent holding and management of participations, with the classic holding functions of central management, controlling, financing, and strategic leadership. Around it sits a multi-company family enterprise: holdings, shared services, and operating businesses in different industries. Directors often sit on more than one board. Decisions roll up and cascade down. The org chart is the product.
The challenge at enterprise scale
Before Konsaro, each level prepared materials its own way. The group pack lived in one thread. An entity board used another folder. Shared-services leadership mailed a third set for strategy, legal, and finance. An operating company refreshed a deck the night before and forwarded it again. People who sat at several levels asked the same question every week: which PDF is for which company, and is it current? Follow-ups after adjournment mixed group actions with entity actions until ownership blurred. For an enterprise whose job is strategic leadership across participations, meeting chaos at every tier was a governance risk, not a formatting annoyance.
One workspace, every level
ERE moved the enterprise onto Konsaro as a single workspace with the right pack for each meeting layer. Group Verwaltungsrat opens the holding pack. Entity boards open their own current materials. Shared-services and operating leadership run their cycles in the same system. Updates land without a resend storm across Zürich and Luzern. Directors who wear multiple hats finally see which meeting they are in, and which company the pack belongs to, before they open the link.
How it works from top to operating floor
At holding level, ERE prepares capital, participation, and strategic items in one current pack. At management level, shared services feed strategy, organisation, marketing, legal, and finance into leadership meetings without rebuilding attachments for every company. At operating level, boards and leadership teams work from the same product rhythm: prepare, meet, follow through. Decisions and owners stay on the record so a holding action does not get lost inside an entity thread, and an entity follow-up does not vanish into a holding inbox.
Productivity across the org chart
Packs are no longer reconstructed from conflicting drives at every tier: each is prepared once and updated in place. That leaves more of each meeting for substance, which participation to fund, which entity needs what next, which operating risk belongs on the holding agenda, and less for version archaeology. After adjournment, owners are on the record at the level where work actually happens, so the enterprise can move as one system instead of a stack of email cultures.
Governance that scales with the group
For a multi-company family enterprise, Konsaro did not replace the org chart. It gave every level of it the same discipline. One workspace. The right pack. Follow-through that survives from group Verwaltungsrat to the operating companies that make the enterprise real.
